Hello! I grew up in, and graduated from North Branch. I have always been a farm kid, and love spending my time outdoors. I am a jack of all trades including woodwork, farming, adventuring and so much more, which also involves being a husband and father. I run a farm with chickens, horses, and cows, being some of the animals I care for. I look forward to another great school year!

Craig Wortman

Craig is a lifelong artist who has spent more than twenty five years doing scenic production and fabrication on an international scale. He was born and raised in Chicago but has deep family roots all around Minnesota and is now raising his own children here alongside his wife, Caralyn. He is hoping to offer his family every opportunity possible, beginning with their education at Phoenix Academy.

Sarah Johnson

Board Member
Role:
Teacher Representative
Email:
Sarah Johnson is the music teacher at Phoenix. This is her fifth year teaching here and her first year serving on the school board. As one of the first teachers to join the Phoenix family, she is invested in the success of the school and hopes that as a member of the board she can help keep Phoenix a great place to learn and teach. She lives in Cambridge, and makes frequent treks to the cities to visit her family and friends. She also enjoys reading, playing instruments, singing, playing games, and taking her dog Maggie for walks.

Mary Lindquist
Position:
Finance Chair
Role:
Community Representative
Email:
Mary has lived in North Branch since 1970. She taught second, third, and fourth grades in the North Branch Primary School for 30 years. After her retirement, Mary played the role of the office manager to support the administrative operations of two businesses that she has with her husband.
Mary graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from St. Thomas in St. Paul.
As a former educator, Mary is very excited to find a school like Phoenix Academy. Our family is very happy to have our granddaughter enrolled in 2nd grade at Phoenix Academy.
She truly believes that if a school can create an excitement for learning, this attitude will continue with that student for the rest of their life.
Personal Interests: Family history research, cooking/baking, and scrapbooking.
