I have two daughters that attend Phoenix. Since starting Phoenix we have seen their confidence flourish. They love attending, and have a sense of pride we have not seen before. I enjoy spending time with my family, and adventuring to new place - the North Shore being one of our favorites. We look forward to the new school year ahead and am happy to be apart of this wonderful organization.

Mary has lived in North Branch since 1970. She taught second, third, and fourth grades in the North Branch Primary School for 30 years. After her retirement, Mary played the role of the office manager to support the administrative operations of two businesses that she has with her husband.
Mary graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from St. Thomas in St. Paul.
As a former educator, Mary is very excited to find a school like Phoenix Academy. Our family is very happy to have our granddaughter enrolled in 2nd grade at Phoenix Academy.
She truly believes that if a school can create an excitement for learning, this attitude will continue with that student for the rest of their life.
Personal Interests: Family history research, cooking/baking, and scrapbooking.
